Yesterday I found yet another very cool park in Seattle. It is just down the hill from my place
It is situated down on the water just across from downtown Seattle. Normally a person goes to a park and sees swings, big rolling lawns and people playing frisbee. Not at Jack Block Park. This park winds through, or along the shipyards of Elliot Bay. Its a very interesting walk as you see ships anchored just offshore to the north and thousands of shipping containers to the south. To the east is an unobstructed view of downtown and more!
You can see the park going along the water
See the benches in the above pic? The picture below shows what your view is when you take a seat and gander off to the east
Now turn around, this is where you came from to get to this bench
Walking along the dock, or dockway - whatever it is?!

Geez, from noon to just now 6:28 pm, I had my video uploading...finally lost my cool and clicked cancel!!! So instead of a fun ride through many sights and interesting people, the only thing you will get to see is my new bike and me :)
Here is the Cruiser - needing a name for this dude, any ideas? I will tell you what, the contest to name the Cruiser is officially started. Whoever comes up with a name that I end up choosing will get a free dinner at Jaks Bar and Grill on California Avenue (Voted 2nd best burger in the nation last year)

Moving on...
Well, today I moved a pickup full of stuff over to the other side of Seattle, to what they call, "West Seattle." About a month ago I decided to move over there and so found a nice 1 bedroom apartment right in the middle of all the hubub of so called West Seattle.
The first wave of moving went okay...not counting breaking off a pipe in the parking garage (truck too tall), busting the door on the elevator (tried to block it open to load it up with my stuff) and a small nick on my finger from the box cutter (dont cut towards yourself!!!) Oh, and on top of all that...I am suffering from the worst cold I have had in decades! Not really, just feeling a bit sniffly and stuffed up, but hey...That is life!
I am on the second floor with no one living below me...unless someone lives in the Chamber of Commerce office. It will be interesting to see who lives around me...wondering if it is a friendly place or maybe people just stick to themselves mostly? We shall see.
Here are some pictures of the place...quite a change from Bothell and my little studio. I have a nice kitchen, a bedroom (finally) a great deck and even a WC for all who know what that means.
In the next few days I will post some pics of the finished product and of the surrounding area. It is a very neat spot - vibrant and alive with the feel of Berkely or even Eugene I suppose. I like it a lot!
Keep your eyes peeled as I move along
